TV Show Speechless & Special Need Kids

Have y'all ever seen the TV show Speechless? Oh my gosh y'all it is hilarious. Minnie Driver is one of the funniest actress' out there. The show is about a family of parents (Mother: Minnie Driver) (Father: John Ross Bowie) and their 3 kids (Oldest son: Micah Fowler) (Younger Son: Mason Cook) (Daughter: Kyla Kenedy). Their oldest son played by Micah Fowler is in a wheelchair and can't speak for himself due to special needs. So the family hires a man to follow him around in public to speak for him (Speaker: Cedric Yarbrough). Micah has a board that he points to for the words that he wants Cedric to speak. So while this show might be a comedy and a must watch if you ask me, it also has a wonderful life lesson that comes along with it.
This young boy in high school who can't walk or speak for himself is one of the happiest and nicest people on the show. Which a lot of times is true isn't it? Have you ever noticed how the kids with special needs at your school are so full of love? They get made fun of and bullied and they still put a smile on their face. They still offer an insurmountable amount of love to anyone who will receive it.

These kids are who we need to be taking advice from. People may think that they are helping those with special needs, but the reality is that special needs kids are really transforming your life, if you let them.

If anyone has a right to be pissed at the world for being "cheated" it should be them. But they aren't. They love life. They don't take it for granted. The way I look at it is that they hold the key to our future.
